TPOA 1st XV Rugby
Rugby at Te Paepae o Aotea is built on pride, resilience, whanaungatanga, and a strong sense of community. Our rugby programme provides opportunities for students to challenge themselves, develop their skills, and represent the kura with passion both on and off the field.
Through training, competition, and shared experiences, players build lasting friendships, learn the value of teamwork, and develop leadership qualities that extend well beyond the rugby field.
Last season, the Te Paepae o Aotea 1st XV achieved an outstanding result by finishing as runners-up in the Verbrec Senior Boys Secondary Schools Rugby Division, a reflection of the dedication and effort shown by players and coaches throughout the season.
Girls’ rugby at Te Paepae o Aotea is also a growing and valued part of our sporting culture. Our wāhine athletes continue to showcase their talent, determination, and passion for the game.
Across all levels, rugby at Te Paepae o Aotea is about more than just the game. It is about creating opportunities, building character, and strengthening our school community. Our players proudly demonstrate the school values of Aotea, Paepae, and Taupaenui through their commitment, teamwork and respect.
